The Park is operated under the direction of a board comprised of seven property owners.
Within the park, there are four units; each containing a swimming pool, spa, restrooms, showers and laundry facilities, BBQ’s, picnic tables and shuffle board courts.

The Town of Florence also has a new large public library located at 778 N Main St, next to the Municipal Building.
To maintain health and fitness, there is a well-equipped exercise room in the Clubhouse.
There are 2 new pickleball courts and a very active pickleball club.
For those who enjoy ceramics and pottery, including an assortment of craft classes, there is a dedicated pottery building that is equipped with wheels, molds, throws and kilns.
There is also a ceramics room, gourd room, silversmithing room, lapidary shop, Putt-Putt golf.
The Park has a pool room equipped with seven billiard tables. There is a multi-media room with a 70″ TV for movies and presentations and ball games
For the woodworker, there is a carpentry shop that contains a nice assortment of tools.
Other activities include: 4-wheeling, cards, quilting, line dancing, clogging, table tennis, cross stitch, sewing club, hiking club, socializing and participating in any or all volunteer opportunities.
Caliente’s Clubhouse is second to none, accommodating over 500 people. The Clubhouse is the center for dances, meals including some breakfasts, lunches and many dinners, bingo, cards, helicopters, line dancing, private parties, church services and much, much more. The Annex is a smaller clubhouse that is always busy with activities. The front office building has multiple rooms that are used for a variety of parties and activities.
The park publishes a monthly (November through March) newsletter, The Chatterbox, which lists all the activities and information about the park and the community.
Florence has the highest number of restored historical buildings in Arizona and holds a Home Tour in February. In the nearby area, there are many historical sites including, 11th century Indian settlements, ghost towns of the 1800s and gold, silver and copper mines. There is also a Greek Monastery that welcomes visitors.
There are several championship golf courses located within a 50-mile radius of Florence. Residents of the park are afforded reduced rates to a par 29, 9-hole golf course which is in Florence Gardens and is adjacent to Caliente. Caliente is known far and wide for its friendliness and welcoming atmosphere. Many lifelong friendships have been made while socializing and/or volunteering.
